Planning to buy a BMW 520i? It's now available for test drive

The BMW 5-series has always been sold by the German marque since 1972. It sits between the 3-Series and 7-Series in size and price, and it remains as one of the more athletic executive sedans in the global automotive market.

Now it's 2021, and the all-new BMW 5-Series 520i Sport is now available for a test drive. If you remember, it was launched last year in May 2020. Like the other variants, this one is still a spacious, comfy, sleek-looking sedan. But, it takes it up a notch when it comes to showing what a “Business Athlete” really means.

The BMW 520i Sport

Looks-wise, the 520i Sport retains the planted, dignified look of a business sedan. Adding to that however are blacked-out pieces, as well as the Shadowline trim. The signature kidney grille up front also comes in high-gloss black, and the default 18-inch alloy wheels come with alternating silver and Orbit Grey colors. There’s also an optional 19-inch set colored in Ferric Grey.

On the rear, this new 5-series variant gets a black chrome tailpipe trim, as well as a high-gloss black rear diffuser. The interior gets a lot of black trim pieces as well.

Under the hood, the BMW 520i Sport has a 2.0 turbocharged inline-4 gasoline engine that can produce up to 184 horsepower and 290 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear via an 8-speed automatic gearbox with Steptronic. The specs are a bit less impressive than those of the BMW 520D 2018 for sale, which features 190 hp of power and 400 Nm of torque.
