But aside from the AC Motors’ model lineup, the company’s digital platform has been enhanced thoroughly. As a result, a 40 percent monthly sales improvement was recorded in one of its digital channels. This paved the way for the Ayala-owned company to get closer to more Filipino car buyers last year.

Two of the new digital platforms rolled out by the company are the virtual showroom and Master Mechanics. The virtual showroom was launched so car brands can still connect with their customers amid the pandemic. It is also a safe way of making transactions to help the country flatten the curb.

Included features in the virtual showroom are Shop by Brand, Find a Dealer, Request for a Quotation, Apply for Financing, Request for a Test Drive, Make a Reservation, e-mail Inquiries, and Live Chat. All these digital features can be done in the comfort of its customers’ homes.

On the other hand, Master Mechanics offers a virtual online mechanic that will assist customers with vehicle care and do-it-yourself maintenance. With this, customers won’t have to make a trip to a dealership to keep their vehicles running. The company still provides face-to-face transactions for those who are required to visit a dealership.

This 2022, AC Motors announced that it will focus on finding ways to bring electric vehicles to the local market. Some of the EVs that can be expected to arrive are the Kia EV6 and Kia Niro. AC Motors President for Automobile Group Antonio “Toti” Zara III discussed the company’s plans for electrification.

“The EV law, and its corresponding roadmap, is about to be finalized. Government must consider lowering import duties aside from excise tax privileges. Let us protect strategic sectors such as the PUV but allow easier importation of private vehicles. We need to make EV ownership more accessible,” said Zara.
