Korean car manufacturer Hyundai showed off an improved variant of their Veloster N high-performance hatchback at the recent 2019 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show. Called the Veloster N Performance Concept, it boasts several bolt-on components, demonstrating the tremenduous potential that aftermarket parts can provide.

KWA supplied the model’s exterior dress-up which includes a custom hood, front splitter, side mirror caps, grille garnish, fog light, rear diffuser, and an aggressive back wing. There's orange accents on areas such as the hood scoop, exterior mirror covers, and side sills.

Inside, occupants get to settle down on Alcantara sport seats made by Sabelt (the same company responsible for the seats on the Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo), while the driver gets an aluminum shift knob on an Alcantara hood, and a red engine start button. Alcantara continues on in the headliner and pillar liners, even the steering wheel.

Not much is added in the car's powertrain, except for an upgraded Capristo cat-back performance exhaust. Under the hood, Performance Concept still uses the same turbocharged 2.0L inline-four gasoline mill which produces 275 horsepower.

The main focus of the Veloster N Performance Concept is to improve the car's lateral and braking capabilities, made possible through the Extreme Racing coilover suspension with H&R springs, and front/rear anti-roll bars supplied by Daewon Steel. There's also a set of 19-inch OZ forged racing wheels mounted on Pirelli P-Zero Corsa rubber tires and additional chassis bracing provided by WIF.

Stopping power is provided by Alcon six-piston front and four-piston rear brake calipers, biting onto 15-inch front and 14.2-inch rear rotors, respectively. Compared to the production-spec Veloster N with the Performance package, the Concept's discs are bigger by at least 1.4 inches, translating into a larger surface area for better heat dissipation and improved braking performance.
