Geely Okavango Color: Which hue is best for you?

Updated Mar 08, 2022 | Same topic: Tuning & Mods

A total of four colors are available.

When Geely Philippines introduced the Okavango last November 2020, the model became an instant hit among Filipino car buyers, surpassing the Azkarra in sales last year. It is recognized as one of the best value-for-money options thanks to the Okavango’s various features and seven seats while maintaining a relatively affordable price.

So if you are planning to get a Geely Okavango, then you should carefully choose the color so you can enjoy what the vehicle has to offer from the front to the back. That said, let’s tackle the four paint finishes available in the local market. To note, the following colors might vary from the actual model so use them as references only.

Big Black Family Car

One of the four Geely Okavango color options is the Marble Black which gives the vehicle an executive car finish. This is further emphasized with the Okavango’s size that is capable of seating seven occupants. The Marble Black goes well with the cosmos grille up front and the blacked-out seats.

Another thing you can appreciate with the Marble Black paint is that it doesn’t take away the black wheel fenders, unlike other black finishes. The only factor that you need to keep in mind is that black paint absorbs heat which can be an issue during summertime in the Philippines.

OG Okavango

Perhaps the most common Geely Okavango color is the Storm Gray. Looking at the other paint finishes available in the PH-spec Okavango, the Storm Gray is the brightest color you can get. The other two options include the Porcelain White and Luna Silver which we will discuss in a second.

There’s not a lot of cars on the road that come with this type of color. As such, you can enjoy driving this big vehicle while looking unique. This will take time to keep the color looking fresh at all times so you might want to regularly visit your local car wash shop. By doing this, you can also avoid unwanted scratches.

No Drama

As said earlier, the last two color options are the Porcelain White and Luna Silver. None of the said color options come with an additional cost so you should choose the one that you prefer the most. Repainting a vehicle with a new color can cost a fortune so plan ahead of time before visiting a Geely dealership.

The Geely Okavango in Porcelain White is a good choice for several reasons. This type of paint can reflect heat from the sun which can provide a cooler cabin than what you get from Marble Black. Another benefit is that Porcelain White goes well with the black accents of the exterior on the bumpers, wheel fenders, and side sills.

On the other hand, the Luna Silver can be your go-to paint finish if you think Porcelain White is too plain. It is also not too busy-looking like the Storm Gray and Marble Busy. Moreover, Luna Silver’s hue is not far from the chrome trims of the Okavango which creates a clean and neat appearance.
