The new 2017 SsangYong Korando has become more stylish with many important exterior updates.
In the UK, the starting price of the base-spec two-wheel-drive Korando SE model, SE 4x4 spec, and the ELX 4x4 respectively goes from £17,000 (₱ 1,097,867), £18,500 (₱ 1,194,737) and £22,000 (₱ 1,420,769). The customer can add the amount of £1,500 (₱ 96,870) to own the ELX with automatic transmission.
Concerning the changes, the exterior of the 2017 facelifted SsangYong Korando has received an all-new front grille with sleek chrome trim, revised headlamps, new fog lights, lower valance, and bonnet. Exactly, the 2017 SsangYong Korando has followed its two siblings Tivoli and the Tivoli XLV for design inspiration. Furthermore, the compact SUV also gets daytime running lights with 11 LED lamps for improved illumination and a set of 8-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.

The cabin of the Korando standard version sports a more ergonomic steering wheel, electrically operated and heated door mirrors with puddle lamps, RDS radio, iPod & Bluetooth connectivity, air conditioning, tinted glass, and roof rails.
More advanced, the ELX version is furnished with front and rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with TomTom sat-nav, leather seats, a heated steering wheel, and heated front & rear seats.
The cabin of the Korando standard version is also refreshed.
Under the hood, the new SsangYong Karando will pack a new 2.2-liter diesel engine which produces 178PS at 4000 rpm and 400 Nm of torque between 1400 and 2800 rpm. Also, the South Korean automaker offers either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed automatic made by Japanese transmission experts Aisin which is used in SsangYong’s Tivoli, BMW’s MINI, and several Peugeot models.
