2018 Peugeot 308 Facelift officially revealed

After leaked photos, Peugeot has officially unveiled its facelifted 308 with new tech, engines and transmissions.
The styling changes in the new Peugeot 308 for sale hatchback are minor. Taking a close look, we can realize a new front grille, a front bumper with revised fog lamps and a set of LED daytime running lights.

The rear design of the new 308 is still an unknown quantity. It is said that the car could be one of the first vehicles to be equipped with rear LED daytime-running lights.

In general, Peugeot does not pay too much attention to the exterior as the 308 features itself a modern design language.

The interior is the place where Peugeot made numerous changes. Specifically, the 2018 Peugeot 308 facelift will be furnished with an array of new driver assistance and safety systems from the 3008 SUV, including the autonomous emergency braking (AEB) and the active lane departure warning.

The level of technology was also improved with the ‘Visionpark 1’ system, mated to a 180-degree rear-view camera and park assistant, which helps the car automatically steer in a parking spot. Furthermore, an updated infotainment system, a new 3D satellite navigation system together with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity are also available.

Under the hood, Peugeot offers many options to customers, one of them is the 308 GT’s BlueHDi 180 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine receives a new eight-speed automatic transmission the Japanese specialists at Aisin.

There are also a couple of differences in the drivetrain lineup, containing an updated three-cylinder petrol engine with a six-speed manual transmission, and a 1.5-liter BlueHDi diesel with 130hp that also gets an advanced emission reduction technology.
