As the unusual step for a successful launch, the new range-topping 911 GT2 RS was confirmed at Xbox’s press conference as the new cover star for the attractive games show.

Although there is no official press release, the GT2 RS is expected to feature the “most powerful road-going 911 engine ever made.’’ said Dan Greenawalt, Creative Director at the Turn 10 studio.

While the presentation hasn’t given any details on the Porsche other than what it looks like yet, it should be safe to trust it comes with a more powerful version of the on-sale 911 Turbo’s 3.8L flat six fitted with unique turbochargers.

The system which includes larger turbos, more boost, a water spray cooled intercooler, a titanium exhaust and other advanced changes helps the engine deliver more than 480kW of power and 750Nm of torque.

In addition, the car will be equipped with the rear wheels along with an electronically controlled center locking differential and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. As for performance, a 0-100km/h time of under 3 seconds and 0-200km/h time under the nine second mark are likely because the car should reach a top-speed greater than 300km/h.
