The next generation Ford Focus replacement has been spotted testing before it goes on sale in 2018.

In comparison to the current edition, the size of the new generation Ford Focus 2018 will not change much.

In particular, the next-gen Focus can have about an 50mm longer wheelbase. The Ford in the US also applies various weight-saving measures to reduce the weight by around 50kg. The body types available for the redesigned model include hatchback and sedan.

The Ford Focus 2018 will provide customers with a variety of small and compact engine options, including the 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol, 1.5-litre EcoBoost petrol, 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol, 2.0-litre Ti-VCT petrol, 1.5-litre TDCi diesel and 2.0-litre TDCi diesel. Specifications of power and torque depend on car markets in different regions.

The car may still be equipped with 5- and 6-speed manual transmissions and 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The next-gen Ford Focus’s body types will include hatchback and sedan

Reports show that the 2018 Ford Focus range would involve ST-Line, ST, RS. The ST’s features include a 1.5-litre EcoBoost turbocharged petrol engine that produces up to 275 bhp and a 1.5- or 2.0-litre diesel engine.

The Ford Focus 2018’s interior will comes with a more stylish but simpler design. Moreover, a touchscreen would provide control for more compatible functions.
