Suzuki Philippines, Inc. (SPH), the official distributor of Suzuki vehicles in the country, officially launched the new Suzuki Vitara AllGrip. Designed with a modernized subcompact crossover appeal, SPH said that the new model is marketed to young individuals who are always on the go with family and friends.
The new Suzuki Vitara AllGrip
The new Suzuki Vitara is highlighted by the adoption of the car brand’s AllGrip technology which provides the vehicle with an all-wheel-drive layout. It is a result of the car brand’s initiative to continuously innovate its lineup to provide customers with a better and more fun driving experience.
“Ever since the new look of Vitara was launched in the Philippines market, we have seen enormous support for the model. One of the iconic models of the brand, this newest 4x4 vehicle provides individuality, stylish looks and added confidence on the road. This car will definitely encourage people to drive and bring more fun into their lives,” said SPH Vice President and General Manager for Automobile Division Keiichi Suzuki.
Exterior
No significant changes have been made on the exterior of the new Suzuki Vitara AllGrip. The subcompact crossover still gets the same sporty aesthetics from the outgoing model. It is designed with LED headlamps with uniquely designed daytime running lights (DRLs), and a vertical chrome grille.
A significant update since its introduction
The front lower bumper garnish is now finished in chrome which blends seamlessly with the chrome trims on the lower front bumper. Other updates include upgraded front and rear skid plates, black trims on the sides, and a restyled tailgate mounted spoiler.
Interior
Inside, the Suzuki Vitara AllGrip still uses the same interior layout with few updates to showcase the new AllGrip technology. These updates include the “AllGrip” badge which can be seen on the front passenger airbag side and the drive mode select dial placed by the gear level.

The 2021 Suzuki Vitara AllGrip comes with a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen that’s seamlessly integrated into the center console. It supports a smartphone linkage function to provide entertainment for the driver and passengers, as well as a Clinometer function which provides information regarding the vehicle’s position in terms of pitch and roll angles.
Suzuki made its subcompact crossover even more capable
As for safety, the Suzuki Vitara AllGrip is equipped with six airbags, hill descent and hill hold control, and brake assist function. Also assisting the driver in controlling the vehicle is the Electronic Stability Program which helps reduce the chances of losing traction on the road.
Engine
Under the hood, the 2021 Suzuki Vitara AllGrip uses a 1.6-liter gasoline engine that can make 115 hp and 156 Nm of torque. The power is sent to all wheels through its 6-speed automatic transmission. For a more spirited and more fun driving experience, the model is equipped with a manual mode and paddle shifters located at the back of the steering wheel.
Made to provide a more fun driving experience
New to the Japanese subcompact crossover is the drive mode select dial that helps drivers choose from the four modes, namely Auto, Sport, Snow, and Lock. These should be selected depending on the road condition or the driving experience the person behind the wheel wants.
