Having spawned over 4 generations, the Sportage has recently been spotted to receive a nip and tuck for 2019. Despite of the camouflage, the Kia Sportage 2019 facelift can still be recognized with a number of changes though not really significant.
In particular, there has been an update to the design of the head lamps with the addition of new 4-point LED daytime running lamps in ice cube shape incorporated into the cluster. The fog lamps have also gone through revision and are now wrapped around with a new piece of plastic trim.

Moving on to the side profile, while it comes as no surprise if the Korean marque has made no changes here, it is still expected that there will likely be a redesigned set of alloy wheels. Furthermore, the color palette also seems to get extended so as to offer customers with a wider range of choices.

Upon further inspection at the back, we can also notice the updated rear bumper and refreshed tail lamps with an all-new premium graphics. Due to the cover, we can hardly see the familiar reflective red garnish connecting the two slim design tail lamps of the current-gen Sportage. However, it is likely that this detail will stay unchanged.
The rear also gets some tweaks at the bumper and the taillights
Barring any shots for the interior, however, we don’t have much hope for significant interior updates as Kia didn’t even bother to keep the dashboard under cover. Anyway, there are probably some tweaks in terms of infotainment system, additional safety features and new upholstery options as well.

According to latest car news, the Kia Sportage 2019 facelift might receive a hybrid 48-volt technology which is built with a view to improving fuel consumption and thus, reducing CO2 emissions.
It is expected that the updated Sportage will break cover at 2018 Paris Motor Show scheduled to take place in October.
