The Nissan Sylphy EV 2018 will be unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show next week. PCauto from China has revealed some images of the EV which is equipped with badges presenting its credentials and a charging port which looks more awkward than the Leaf’s.

The front fascia comes as a mix of the 2nd-gen Nissan Leaf and the US-spec Sentra/Sylphy facelift which was launched at the end of 2015. In detail, the car gets a narrower V, lower front bumper and U-shaped black portion from the former while borrowing identical headlights from the latter.

The Nissan Sylphy EV 2018 is said to be powered by a 109 hp electric engine that can reach the top speed at 144 km/h. It is estimated to get a range from 200 to 250 km. Meanwhile, the Nissan Leaf is capable of doling out 148 hp and 320 Nm of torque with a range of 378 km for a fully charged battery.

The Nissan LEAF 2023 Philippines is a 5-door hatchback fitted with an all-electric powertrain. It is offered in the Philippines with one variant only which is priced at Php 1,998,000. A 40-kWh lithium-ion battery is used, which aids the model's 311 km range. Only a single-speed gear reduction system is utilized to exclusively send power to the front wheels.
Dimensions-wise, the LEAF has a length of 4,490 mm, a width of 1,788 mm, and a height of 1,540, with ground clearance and wheelbase rated at 155 mm and 2,700 mm, respectively. This is the first and only commercially-available EV in the country. But in the all-electric options, the alternatives of Filipino car buyers include the Porsche Taycan, Hyundai Ioniq EV, and BYD E6.
