Dubbed as the ‘toughest Navara in the world.’

Japanese automaker Nissan, in collaboration with Australian-based engineering firm Premcar, reveals the behind-the-scenes development of the new Navara Pro-4X Warrior.

2021 Nissan Navara Pro-4X Warrior Development Story

Dubbed as the ‘toughest Navara in the world,’ the Nissan Navara Pro-4X Warrior is thoroughly designed to showcase the expertise of the finest Australian engineers and developers of Premcar.

“Premcar is behind this car, Nissan is behind this car. Our reputations are on the line. So, we’ve got plenty of incentive to make sure that we do every test that we identify on our failure mode analysis to make sure this car doesn’t have a problem in the field. You won’t get that in the aftermarket, you do get it with this product,” said Premcar Engineering Director Bernie Quinn.

The Nissan Navara Pro-4X Warrior looks tougher with the addition of a winch-compatible bullbar and a large red bash plate with the ‘Navara’ inscription upfront. Functional aesthetic upgrades such as a modified towbar and underbody protection are also integrated into the new truck.

To set the Warrior apart from the bunch, it gets exclusive ‘Twin Turbo’ decals on the side that go well with the larger fender flares. The new and meaner-looking truck is also installed with variant-exclusive 275/70R17 Warrior hybrid type tires which are engineered to conquer the toughest of roads.

More off-road capable than ever

All these aesthetic upgrades help the Nissan Navara Pro-4X stand out on the road even when placed alongside the Ford Ranger Raptor.

As for performance capabilities, the Pro-4X Warrior uses the same 2.3-liter common-rail 4-cylinder twin-turbo diesel engine found in the standard Australian-spec Navara. It is capable of generating 188 hp and 450 Nm of torque. Premcar enhanced the truck’s suspension system to provide a smoother ride and better stability even when going on off-roads.

'Toughest Navara in the world'

Nissan will be rolling off the Pro-4X Warrior’s sales in Australia starting September 1 this year. The ‘toughest Navara in the world,’ however, will not make its way in the country as it is intended for the Australian market only. But Nissan Philippines offers the Navara Pro-4X which is the closest Filipino Warrior fans will get.
