Chinese car brand Geely has opened another dealership along the busy streets of the Metro strategically located in Makati City. The new Geely Makati will be managed by the brand’s official distributor of its vehicles in the country, the Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP).
SGAP now manages two dealerships in the country, namely the new Geely Makati and its flagship dealership, Geely North EDSA. One can expect that the future for the new Geely dealership in Makati is bright as Geely North EDSA managed to seamlessly expand the Chinese car brand’s business network during its first years competing in the local market.

Geely is on the rise with the business expansion efforts it is putting out since its introduction in the country in 2019. Last year, SGAP landed on CAMPI and AVID’s number 10 spot among the top-selling passenger vehicle brands in the country. The Chinese car brand is expected to open over 15 more dealerships this year.
With the new Geely Makati opening, residents near the dealership can get a closer look at the Chinese car brand’s lineup, including the Coolray, Azkarra, and Okavango. The Geely Coolray is the brand’s best-selling unit for the longest time, while the Geely Azkarra is a 5-seater compact crossover that offers a mild-hybrid system. Lastly, the 7-seater Geely Okavango is the brand’s latest addition to the lineup.

Know more about Geely Coolray 2024
The Geely Coolray 2023 is a subcompact crossover. In the local market, this model has three variants with a price ranging from Php 1,083,000 to Php 1,299,000.
Under the hood of the Coolray is a 1.5-liter inline-3 turbocharged gasoline engine capable of making up to 177 horsepower and 255 Nm of torque. It is then linked to a seven-speed wet-type dual clutch gearbox sending power to its front wheels.
Size-wise, the Coolray is 4,330mm long, 1,800mm wide, and 1,609mm in height. It also has a wheelbase length of 2,600mm.
Locally, the Coolray competes against the likes of the Toyota Raize, Nissan Kicks, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Mazda CX-3, Honda HR-V, Chevrolet Tracker, MG ZS, among others.
