The Changan Alsvin is now up for the taxi business

The Changan Alsvin Taxi has a five-seating configuration that provides passengers with interior amenities such as air conditioning with a PM 0.1 air filter, a multi-media system with a seven-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, and USB connectivity. Passengers will have to load their stuff in the subcompact sedan’s 382-liter trunk space.

Meanwhile, drivers get a four-way seat adjustment, an electric power steering (EPS) with a speed-sensing function, and multi-functional steering wheel controls. The latter can help the driver control the head unit system easier for the entertainment of passengers on the go.

Powering the vehicle is a 1.4-liter naturally-aspirated gasoline engine capable of generating 99 horsepower and 135 Nm of torque. CMPI claims the power unit is “highly efficient, stable, and reliable”, effectively reducing exhaust emission and fuel consumption. Drivers have to work their way around using a five-speed manual transmission.

Making the trips safer are features such as dual front airbags, an anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), a reverse camera, and a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

CMPI did not mention the price of the Alsvin Taxi but the regular model can be yours for Php 654,000. The sedan is also offered with the brand’s Vital 5 aftersales program. It provides a five-year or 150,000 km mileage warranty (whichever comes first), a 60-minute preventative maintenance service (PMS) guarantee, and free towing services, among others.

The Biyahenyong Aasenso Showcase also brought out Hyundai trucks and buses. It was made possible as both Changan and Hyundai commercial vehicles (CVs) are distributed by Hariphil Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI). The event saw various iterations of the HD45 GT, HD78 GT, and the HD50S GT including the Class 3 and Class 4 versions.
