Mitsubishi Expander 2018 price revealed, ready for reservations in the Philippines

Good news for all Expander’s fans: Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has formally opened reservations for the much-anticipated Mitsubishi Expander 2018. In other words, within a few months, the local 7-seat B-segment crossover market will welcome a new talented player.

According to latest car news from MMPC, the Mitsubishi Expander 2018 is ready for bookings from January 24 till April 30, 2018. For those who’re curious about the Expander, click here to read our in-depth review of this car.

And for others who’ve been waiting since last year to bring home this 7-seater, visit www.xpander.mmpc.ph - a special webpage of the Expander to become one of its very first owners in our shores. After accessing the web, you have to register then fill out the pre-order form.

Of note, the reservation fee is P10,000 and your booking procedure is only complete once you pay it to a Mitsubishi dealership.

The Mitsubishi Xpander's price has also been revealed along with available variants. Accordingly, the vehicle is offered in 4 variants: GLX, GLX Premium, GLS and GLS Sport.

All those trims packs a 1.5-liter MIVEC engine which is capable of 105 PS and a max torque of 141 Nm. Power is transferred to the front wheels via either a 4-speed AT or 5-speed MT depending specific variants. For example, the Xpander GLX is mated to a 5-speed MT while the GLX Premium is equipped with an AT. Besides, the higher-end trim GLS and GLS Sport will come with more features than the lower-end units.

At the present, MMPC has remained tight-lipped about detailed information of each variant. That said, it is said that the Mitsubishi Xpander 2018 would be furnished with class-leading safety features like Hill Start Assist (HSA) and especially, Active Stability Control (ASC).

No words on the official debut date but it is speculated that the 7-seat would make its way in March or April.

The 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander is a seven-seater MPV for the Philippine market. As of the 2023 model year, there are three available variants for this model. There’s the Xpander GLX 1.5 MT, the Xpander GLX 1.5 AT, and the Xpander GLS 1.5 AT. These range in price from Php 1,050,000 to Php 1,180,000. 

Size-wise, the Xpander has a length of 4,595mm, a width of 1,750mm, and a height of 1,750mm. It also has a wheelbase that spans 2,775mm, and a ground clearance of 225mm.  

Under the hood, this Mitsubishi MPV uses a 1.5-liter inline-4 gasoline engine that’s capable of producing up to 103 horsepower and 141 Nm of torque. It then uses a front-wheel-drive layout. Depending on the trim, it either gets a four-speed automatic gearbox, or a five-speed manual transmission.
