Equipped with Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC and Active Steering Assist system, the new S-class can keep a safe distance and steer itself while the driver can adjust the speed depending on the situation such as slowing down for a toll booth or bends and intersections.
In addition, the S-Class will have many other updated features such as Evasive Steering Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Lane Change Assist, Active Brake Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, Traffic Sign Assist, Car-to-X Communication, Active Parking Assist and Remote Parking Assist.

The Active Lane Change Assist system helps the driver change lanes automatically just by nudging the indicator stalk. Besides, with the Active Speed Limit Assist system, the vehicle will be able to drive through stop-and-go traffic by making stops of up to 30 seconds.
Another outstanding feature of the updated S-class is that the Evasive Steering Assist function can help the driver detect and evade the pedestrians who are in the danger zone ahead.

Particularly, Car-to-X Communication function of the car will warn the driver via voice output when the danger approaches.
Concerning the dashboard’s design, the new vehicle also gets a three-spoke steering wheel the as previously model, but the digital instrument panel seems to be larger.
