The current COVID-19 situation indeed caused inconvenience to everyone, including vehicle owners whose cars are scheduled for PMS or Preventive Maintenance Service.

Covid-19: Philippines' Luzon island put under enhanced community quarantine

Luckily, many car brands in the Philippines are implementing a 30-day grace period for their customers. These companies include those that are distributed by Berjaya Motor Philippines which are Mazda Philippines and SsangYong Philippines.

This may not be new to all Mazda owners but in case you haven’t heard, Mazda Philippines and Berjaya Auto Philippines made a new vehicle ownership program that started on January 1, 2013, which they call the YOJIN3 Mazda Total Care.

This includes a 3-year free periodic maintenance service, 3-year roadside assistance, and 3-year bumper-to-bumper manufacturer warranty.

In line with this, Mazda Philippines released a statement saying that Mazda dealerships in Luzon are implementing a 30-day grace period from the due date. This means, if you can’t bring your car to its PMS due date, then it can be done within the next 30 days.

With the help of the 30-day window applied by Mazda, you can still enjoy the full three years the YOJIN3 Mazda Total Care offers without missing a thing.

On the other hand, SsangYong Philippines also released a statement regarding their temporary suspension of operations to comply with the Enhanced Community Quarantine imposed by the Philippine government.

SsangYong Philippines said that they will be extending its free Preventive Maintenance Service window for 30 days. SsangYong vehicles have a 3-year service similar to Mazda’s YOJIN3 while having a 5-year warranty – all thanks to its distributor, Berjaya Motor Philippines.
