The problem comes when big families are going out on weekends. A popular Toyota Vios or a Mitsubishi Mirage can only accommodate 4 people, which means you would have to hail several rides. To solve this problem, Uber is going to provide UberXL to satisfy your need. Passengers will enjoy the same reliable, tap-of-a-button riders they’ve come to love yet can have more room for what matters.
Rolling out staring May 12, Uber customers in Manila can begin requesting for an UberXL when they book their ride. Through this, riders will get a big AUV like a Toyota Innova or a Mitsubishi Adventure that is made for groups up to 6 people (or anyone who wants the extra space to lug around some cargo).

For a fare just up to 50% more than a standard UberX, you’re guaranteed a larger car with more room and seats. The feature will start on May 12, and will be available for all users by May 20.
