LTO-NCR West releases list of accredited driving schools

Make sure you’re getting your driving education from the right places.

The COVID-19 pandemic is driving government agencies to step up their game in providing services to the public. Chief of these is minimizing face-to-face interaction while enhancing online transactions where necessary to increase efficiency.

Driving schools will submit license application requirements electronically to the LTO

In line with these efforts, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) is set to implement electronic submission for those applying for driver’s licenses, student permits, additional restriction codes, and foreign license conversions into local ones.

Almost all applications will require course completion certificates to be submitted by accredited driving schools, and the agency has instructed its branches throughout the country to be compliant with the online system once the order takes effect on August 3, 2020.

One of these is the LTO’s West NCR regional office, which has released a list of accredited driving schools where applicants in the area can go to file for licenses, permits, or upgrade existing restrictions.

The LTO has suspended all license processing in the meantime to prepare for the new electronic protocols but has advised driving schools to conduct the requisite 15-hour seminars for driver applicants.
