Coventry Motors Corporation, the distributor of Land Rover vehicles in the Philippines, is celebrating the one-millionth sales milestone of the Land Rover Range Rover Sport. As such, Land Rover PH is offering an exclusive promo for the Range Rover Sport PHEV until February 28, 2021.

The story of the Range Rover Sport began in January 2004 when Land Rover revealed the Range Stormer concept. The said concept is where the SUV got its design direction. Then a year later, Land Rover debuted the Range Rover Sport production car at the 2005 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
By March 2013, Land Rover introduced the second-generation Range Rover Sport. In June 2013, the second-gen model managed to set a new Hill Climb record for a production SUV at Pikes Peak in the United States. The Range Rover Sport didn’t want to rest its laurels as it recorded the fastest time to drive 800km across the Empty Quarter Desert, Saudi Arabia.

Come August 2014, the Range Rover Sport SVR was revealed and it is said to the be world’s fastest production SUV at that time. Then, three years later in October 2017, Land Rover unveiled the Range Rover Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV). In 2018, the Range Rover Sport completed a world-first for a vehicle driving up the 999 steps to renowned landmark Heaven’s Gate in China. Then, in December 2020, Land Rover was able to achieve the one-millionth sales milestone of the Range Rover Sport.

To celebrate the said sales milestone, Land Rover PH is offering a cash discount for the Range Rover Sport PHEV. Interested individuals can drive home the Range Rover Sport PHEV at Php 8,888,888 until February 28, 2021. Of note, the standard sticker price of the said vehicle is Php 9,490,000. As such, the Range Rover Sport PHEV is offered with a cash discount of more than Php 600,000 for the month of February.

The 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is a luxury crossover SUV. It has four main trims for the Philippine market. There’s the Range Rover Sport SE, Range Rover Sport Dynamic SE, Range Rover Sport Autobiography, and the Range Rover Sport First Edition. Pricing for the said model starts at Php 13.490 million.
All four trims come with a variety of engine options. This includes a 4.4-liter V8 twin-turbo gasoline engine that can make up to 523 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. Other gasoline options like the P360 and the P400 are likewise available.
A hybrid version, the P510e, is likewise present in the Philippine market. It can make up to 503 horsepower. There’s also the P440e, which can dish out 503 horsepower.
Lastly, there are also several diesel engine options. There’s the D300 inline-6 turbodiesel, the D250, and the D350 mild hybrid. These in turn can make up to 295 horsepower, 245 horsepower, and 350 horsepower, respectively.
All trims come standard with an all-wheel-drive. Their engines are then paired to an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
For dimensions, this new model from Land Rover is 4,946mm to 5,052mm long, 2,047mm wide, and 1,820mm to 1,870mm in height. It then has a wheelbase length of 2,997mm. Ground clearance for this model is variable thanks to its adaptive air-suspension system.
Locally, the Land Rover Range Rover Sport rivals the Maserati Levante, Porsche Cayenne, Mercedes-Benz GLE, BMW X7, etc.
