The automaker’s sports car line will have an all-terrain version.

Lamborghini has released the first official look at its production-ready Hurácan Sterrato (dirt road), prior to the model’s upcoming world debut at the Art Basel event in Miami on November 30, 2022.

Lamborghini Hurácan Sterrato: Beyond The Concrete

The images are accompanied by a series of video clips at Lamborghini’s YouTube channel depicting the vehicle’s performance both on and off the road. This is yet another special edition of the Italian automaker’s Hurácan sports car series, now in its eighth year.

“[The Hurácan Sterrato is] the first super sports car designed for maximum driving pleasure even away from the asphalt on loose or dirt surfaces, reinterpreting the very concept of sportiness and emphasizing the brand principles of brave, authentic, and unexpected,” Lamborghini said in a statement.

Unexpected is the right word, as the Hurácan is known for being driven strictly over tarmac in most of its iterations so far. That is, until Lamborghini introduced the Hurácan Sterrato Concept in 2019, based on the Hurácan Evo.

This is the first version of the Hurácan designed and engineered for off-road use

Underpinned by a reinforced frame, the Sterrato Concept featured a ground clearance 47mm higher with slightly revised approach and departure angles as well as a wheel track increased by 30mm. A set of 20-inch alloy wheels are wrapped in special off-road tires, while skidpads are integrated for protection from debris. Completing the Sterrato Concept’s aggressive look are built-in fog lamps just beyond the hood, accompanied by roof rails.

The concept car shares the Evo’s power unit beneath the body shell, a 5.2-liter V10 kicking up 640 horsepower. This is complemented by a modified version of the Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata (LDVI) vehicle control system that comes with predictive logic, governing the Sterrato’s all-wheel drivetrain.

The model first came to light as the Hurácan Sterrato Concept back in 2019

While the production Hurácan Sterrato will feature slightly toned-down fender extensions and a revised front lip, the rest of the car is expected to stay true to the original concept version.

Lamborghini Huracan Launch

The Lamborghini Huracan was unveiled at the Geneva International Motor Show in 2014. In the second quarter of the same year, it was made available in the market. The stunning vehicle was a replacement for the Italian premium carmaker’s bestselling Lamborghini Gallardo which reigned for almost 10 years.

“Huracan”, the Spanish word for hurricane, perfectly describes the sports car’s unlimited power when it comes to driving.
In May 2020, Lamborghini made history as the first international car brand to launch the new Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD Spyder using augmented reality.

Lamborghini Huracan Exterior

The Lamborghini Huracan 2024 measures 4,520mm long, 1,933mm wide, and 1,165mm to 1,180mm tall. According to Lamborghini, the vehicle’s stunning design was based on the carbon atom,  known for its detailed spiky hexagonal shape. It features a pair of narrow Y-shaped LED headlights and taillights, door-mounted mirrors in reference to the Lamborghini Gallardo, and an encased engine in a glasshouse. The back is detailed with a subtle bumper, spoiler, numerous vents with exhaust tips, a full-sized grille, and a mighty rear diffuser.

The Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder and the Lamborghini Huracan RWD Spyder get upgraded with a stunning drop-top that adds drama to its well-detailed body.

Finalizing its superior sports car look is a set of 19-inch to 20-inch durable alloy wheels.
