The one-off EV is also joined by motorsports icons from Audi.

After a long wait, the Hoonigan dropped the latest Gymkhana video with Ken Block drifting the Audi S1 e-tron quattro Hoonitron in Las Vegas.

But this isn't just another Gymkhana video as the American pro driver took on the challenge of toying around an all-electric car. That said, the production is then dubbed Electrikhana. The car featured is a one-off EV that pays homage to the German automaker's Sport quattro S1.

Ken Block drifted in Sin City including around the latter's version of the famous Eiffel Tower. The Audi S1 Hoonitron's suspension was also put to the test as it exited the down ramp of a parking building with speed. With it, the U.S. drift artist showed that even electrified powertrains can perform at a high level.

Speaking of powertrain, the Audi S1 Hoonitron comes with two electric motors sourced from Formula E, each making a whopping 3,000 Nm of torque. The vehicle has an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system, a carbon fiber chassis, and safety bits that fully comply with the standard of the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile), motorsport's governing body.

"With the S1 Hoonitron, we broke entirely new ground at Audi," said Member of the Board for Technical Development at Audi AG, Oliver Hoffmann.

"Developing a fully electric prototype for the unique requirements of our partner Ken Block was a big and exciting challenge to which the whole team rose with flying colors. It is great to see how 'Vorsprung durch Technik' is presented in an all-new environment," added Hoffmann.
