Isuzu D-Max Arctic AT35 trucks to come in October

The AT35 can go anywhere and do anything, according to Isuzu.

Ahead of the official launch on October 1^st, some details of the next-gen D-Max Arctic dubbed the AT35 has been unveiled.

Let’s discuss the hardware first. Focusing on off-road credentials, Isuzu decides to give its new pickup truck a 1.9L turbo diesel engine which can churn out 160 hp and 360 Nm of torque. Power is sent to four wheels via either a standard 6-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed automatic gearbox.

Furthermore, the new D-Max will come with a massive set of 35-inch off-road tires wrapping around 17-inch alloy wheels. These new wheels give the AT35 a high ground clearance of 290 mm as well as an approach angle of 36° to further the vehicle’s off-road capacity. The wheels will be pained in black, if you want to opt for silver ones, just pay an extra cost.

With a weight of 2,110 kg, the payload is just limited to one ton, but the AT35’s towing capacity is up to 3.5 tons.

The Japanese automaker also reveals that the AT35 will receive a new design along with some exterior twists, a raised ride height in addition to new refinement to the cockpit.

As an exclusive double cab, the Isuzu D-Max Arctic AT 35 will be more functional with push button star, keyless entry, DAB radio, a 7-inch multifunction touchscreen infotainment system integrated with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a satellite navigation system and a shark fin antenna.

Color palette is extremely vivid including Splash White, Venetian Red, Tundra Green, Titanium Silver, Cosmic Black, Obsidian Grey, and Nautilus Blue.

The Isuzu D-Max Arctic AT35 will be sold for £37,995 (P2.5 million) across the U.K in October.

The Isuzu D-Max 2023 is a 5-seater pickup truck that is available in several variants with various options for a 4x2 or 4x4 drivetrain. Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) is offering this truck at a price that ranges from Php 917,000 to Php 1,9055,000. There are two engine options powering the D-Max. One is a 1.9-liter RZ4E-TC inline-4 turbodiesel engine that makes 148 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque, while the other is a 3.0-liter 4JJ3-TCX inline-4 turbodiesel engine that delivers 187 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. Either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission can be paired to the said engines.

In terms of dimensions, the D-Max spans 5,277 mm in length, 1,880 mm in width, and 1,810 mm in height. It boasts a ground clearance rated at 240 mm, as well as a wheelbase of 3,125 mm. Some of the competitors of the Isuzu pickup truck in the Philippines are the Toyota Hilux, Nissan Navara, and Mazda BT-50.
