If you’re one of the folks who think that the Geely Coolray is still too large for you, then we’ve got a treat for you.
The Geely GX3 Pro
Dubbed the Geely GX3 Pro, this subcompact crossover was previewed at the 2023 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS). It is one of the Chinese brand’s smallest model offerings for the global market, and by small, we mean that the Coolray will appear gigantic when parked next to it.
At the 2023 MIAS, Geely is yet to reveal any of this model’s specifications. But if we referenced the GX3 Pro that’s sold in Latin America, it uses a 1.5-liter mill that can generate up to 102 horsepower and 140 Nm of torque. Available gearbox options for this tiny Geely in the global market include a continuously variable transmission (CVT) or a five-speed manual gearbox.
GX3 Pro from the rear
The Geely GX3 Pro mirrors the larger Coolray where style is concerned. So while it doesn’t use the same platform as the Coolray, the GX3 Pro likewise sports the brand’s expanding cosmos grille, a quadrilateral lower air vent, and a pair of sharp-looking headlamps. So in a nutshell, it really looks like the Coolray’s smaller sibling.
Inside the GX3 Pro is an interior that also looks inspired by other larger Geely products. It features a multi-tiered dashboard that’s also similar to the Coolray's, and it also comes with a flat-bottom steering wheel as well as a floating-type touchscreen headunit. At the most, it can then seat up to five occupants.

Before you get too excited, note that no further information about this crossover was provided by Geely Philippines. The brand is yet to say whether the GX3 Pro will see a local launch, nor did it reveal the vehicle’s full spec sheet.
That said though, many will undoubtedly find this subcompact model interesting. Besides the cute factor, we are also quite certain that some will agree that this might also do well on tight local roads.
