A total of Php 10 million in prizes are up for grabs.

The Ford Ranger Raptor may be built for conquering the wilderness, but its journey so far has been anything but rough. A year after its introduction to the local market in 2018, the performance pickup commanded over 40 percent of total Ranger sales in the Philippines as of 2019.

To date, 10,000 units of the Ranger Raptor have been driven home from Philippine showrooms. Our market also leads the ASEAN region with a 64 percent share in total sales of the model, as well as 37 percent market share as far as Ford’s International Market Group is concerned.

In line with the Ranger Raptor’s robust performance in its segment, Ford Philippines is offering its customers the first-ever Ranger Raptor Raffle promo in time for the holiday season.

A purchase of any Ford vehicle from authorized dealerships nationwide until December 31, 2020 entitles customers to one (1) raffle entry, with a brand-new Ranger Raptor pickup as the grand prize. Purchases made through an EastWest Bank auto loan earn two (2) raffle entries. A total of five (5) Ranger Raptor units are at stake, or up to Php 10 million in prizes, all tax-free.

There are also major cash discounts and all-in low down payment offers for other models under the Seize the Deal promo, which Ford has extended until December 31, 2020. Customers can get cash discounts of up to Php 190,000 for the EcoSport or Php 125,000 for a Ford Ranger.

Meanwhile, the Everest comes with up to Php 100,000 in rebates. A Ford Expedition or Explorer can be driven home for a 20% down payment and 60 months amortization at zero percent interest. The Transit carries a Php 301,000 cash discount together with a free 5-year scheduled service plan, the latter also available for buyers of the new Ford Territory.

All purchase of the Ranger Raptor include the Premium Care package which covers the scheduled service plan, vehicle warranty, and roadside assistance, all at five years.

The 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor is a performance-oriented pickup truck. For the Philippine market, its sole variant is priced at Php 2,345,000. 

Under the hood of the all-new Ranger Raptor is a 2.0-liter bi-turbo diesel that can make up to 207 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. The engine is then paired to a 10-speed automatic gearbox sending power to all four wheels.  

The 2024 Ranger Raptor is 5,381mm long, 2,028mm wide, and 1,922mm in height. It then has a wheelbase length spanning 3,270mm. 

Locally, the Ranger Raptor’s closest competitors are the Nissan Navara PRO-4X and the Hilux GR Sport.

The second-generation Ford Ranger Raptor was launched for the Philippine market on May 18, 2023.

The all-new 2024 Ranger Raptor follows the design language of the second-generation T6 Ranger. That said, it gets a pair of Matrix LED headlamps, LED daytime running lamps, front fog lamps, and large fender flares. 

To make it ready for off-road use, Ford fitted this truck with dual front and rear tow hooks. Its under chassis likewise gets protective plates.  

Other features present on the Ranger Raptor’s exterior include power folding side mirrors, powder-coated side steps, and a bedliner with 230-volt and 12-volt power sockets.  

Where size is concerned, this pickup truck is 5,381mm long, 2,028mm wide, and 1,922mm in height. It then has a wheelbase length spanning 3,270mm.

Inside the Ranger Raptor is a cabin that can comfortably seat up to five occupants. The cabin is kept cool by a dual-zone automatic air-conditioning system, and all of its seats are wrapped in leather. A center armrest is also available for the rear cabin.  

The driver of this Ford pickup truck is then provided with a push-to-start button, a center armrest, and a 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster. Both front cabin seats are power adjustable as well. 

Technology & Safety Features

Providing entertainment for the Ranger Raptor’s occupants is a 12-inch portrait touchscreen display. It has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, and USB connectivity. Charging smartphones is then made easy thanks to a wireless device charging pad.  

As for safety features, the Ranger Raptor gets a whole host of standard equipment. It gets seven airbags, anti-lock braking, front and rear parking sensors, stability control, ISOFIX child seat anchors, hill-launch assist, hill descent control, etc. 

Enhancing safety aboard its model is a set of advanced driver assist technologies. Chief among these are adaptive cruise control, lane centering, automatic high beams, autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, evasive steer assist, lane departure warning, lane keep aid, a 360-degree view camera, blind spot monitoring, etc. 

Platform & Chassis

The all-new Ranger Raptor uses an improved version of the Fox Shocks set that came on the previous generation model. Specifically, it gets 2.5-inch Fox Shocks, with position-sensitive damping technology.  

Braking for the Ranger Raptor is then handled by disc brakes for all four wheels. It then uses an electronic parking brake with auto-hold control.  

Like the regular Ranger, the Ranger Raptor is based on Ford’s T6-platform. This means that it comes with a ladder-frame chassis.

Since the first-generation launch, until the arrival of the second-generation Ford Ranger Raptor, no other pickup truck can match its optimization for Baja-type off-road activities.
