A more distinctive, and stylish Chery Tiggo 2 is coming soon in the local market.

The Tiggo 2 is one of the best-selling models of Chery Auto Philippines. To back that up, the subcompact crossover recently led the car brand’s October sales alongside the Tiggo 7 Pro. Despite its good sales contribution, the company is still looking to find ways to improve the model.

An all-new Chery Tiggo 2 Pro will soon be unveiled

With that being said, Chery Auto Philippines is taking the Tiggo 2 to the next level as it will introduce the Pro version of the model this week. The Chery Tiggo 2 Pro is a refresh of the current Tiggo 2 version which offers a more stylish and premium-like exterior design, as well as updated tech.

Just like its compact crossover sibling, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro, the new Tiggo 2 Pro is coming with a dot-matrix galaxy-like grille that gives its front end a more distinctive look. It is complemented by new daytime running lights (DRL) which look thinner and sleeker than the one in the other Pro model.

To the sides, no significant changes have been made. Although, the global model gets new and sportier-looking 5-spoke alloy wheels with red brake calipers. The sporty appeal continues to the back as the chrome trim that spans the length of the tailgate is altered to a black finish. Minor changes are adopted to the lower portion of the rear end.

The Chery Tiggo 2 Pro’s interior is fairly similar to the current model. However, it comes with a few updates that make the cabin look more innovative. The traditional hand brake lever is converted into an electronic parking brake, ensuring that brake force is distributed evenly on all wheels. Moreover, a slightly larger 9-inch touchscreen is used which should replace the current PH-spec model’s 8-inch head unit.

Under the hood, the upcoming crossover could be powered by either a 1.5-liter engine that has 105 hp and 135 Nm of torque or a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder turbocharged mill that makes 101 hp and 150 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Take note, the PH-spec Chery Tiggo 2 Pro could come with different specifications once it is officially launched in the local market. The said features are based on the subcompact crossover’s global model and should be considered as a reference only.
