Recently, the very first images of the Audi A7 Sportback 2018 have been leaked, showing the angular front and sides of this luxury sedan. The interesting thing is that we will not see sketches or renderings but scale models.
Through the previous spy photos and also, miniature versions, we can easily recognize that the new Audi A7 design is a perfect combination of styling tweaks between the Prologue concept series and the first-gen A7.

The car front, accordingly, receives a wider front grille flanked by slim LED headlights. Moreover, it appears that more glass now covers the two sides.
Rear view is hidden, yet a pounced tail is immediately spotted. Besides, car news suggests that the A7 Sportback 2018 is expected to come with full-width tail lights as what we’ve seen in the prototype.

Close to the Audi Q7 and A8, underpinning the Audi A7 Sportback 2018 will be the refreshed MLB Evo architecture. Even, the Bentley Bentayga and the Porsche Cayenne also ride on this platform. With this new body structure, the A7 is believed to be much lighter and faster than its predecessor.

Under the bonnet, turbocharged V6 and V8 diesel and petrol engines will presumably propel the new A7 and an 8-speed automatic transmission will be available as the only choice. If possible, a plug-in hybrid model will likely receive power from a 48V hybrid mill.
