Peugeot is ready to roar once again in the Philippine market with the launch of the new 3008 crossover SUV. Under the helm of a new distributor, Peugeot PH announced that it will officially introduce the 2022 3008 on February 11.

Peugeot PH is now under a new distributor named Astara, a Spanish automotive dealer that was established way back in 1979. It has its presence in 16 countries including Spain, Portugal, Germany, and Colombia, with the Philippines as the company’s first Asian country.
The new Peugeot 3008 was first unveiled globally in September 2020 featuring a modern-looking design that’s highlighted by the front grille. It also has LED headlights that are complemented with strip-like lighting pointing downwards. The rear, on the other hand, is fitted with dark tinted LED taillights, and comes with a set of 19-inch aluminum wheels.
It comes with a two-tone interior
Inside, it has a two-tone cabin with wood accents. Placed right at the center of the dashboard is a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen that has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which is an essential feature in today’s smartphone era. It also has a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, Nappa leather upholstery, multi-point massage seats, a dual-pane sunroof, and a frameless rear-view mirror.
Peugeot PH has yet to share details in regards to the full specs as well as the powertrain options for the new 3008. The global spec Peugeot 3008 can be equipped with a number of options from gasoline, diesel, and hybrid power units.
The gasoline engines can be 1.2-liter or 1.6-liter. The smaller gas engine delivers 130 hp and 230 Nm of torque while the latter has 180 hp and 250 Nm. The diesel power unit is a 1.5-liter engine that makes 130 hp and 300 Nm.
The 3008 comes with distinctive taillights
It can also have a plug-in hybrid engine, specifically for the 3008 Hybrid4 300 variant, which makes 300 hp and 520 Nm. It uses an eight-speed automatic transmission, and it is also the only 3008 variant with all-wheel-drive. The other hybrid 3008 variant called the Hybrid 225 can deliver 225 horsepower and 360 Nm.
Meanwhile, Peugeot PH previously said that it is targeting to open seven dealerships this year. As such, the car brand is expected to have a total of 11 dealerships by the end of 2022.
