The Peugeot 3008 was initially unveiled to the public in Dubrovnik, Croatia in April 2009. In May 2016, it was officially launched and was made available in January a year after.
In February 2012, the Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4 was released and was offered in a four-wheel drive, Sport, Auto, and a version fully dependent on the energy from the battery pack.
In the Philippines, the Peugeot 3008 Active Petrol variant entered the market in 2019.

The Peugeot 3008 is a front-wheel-drive vehicle available in a 1.6-liter and a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gas or diesel engine. All are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and can produce 150 to 165 horsepower with 240 to 370 Newton meters depending on the variant.
