Jaguar Land Rover opens the world’s largest classic car works in the UK

This new Classic Works is dedicated to offering a range of products and services for Jaguar and Land Rover fans.
Recently, the Jaguar Land Rover Classic Works has officially opened in Conventry, West Midlands. This new Classic Works is considered as “the heart and soul” of all JLR global business and client operations as well as the world’s largest classic car works.

Inside the 14,000 sqm works, Jaguar and Land Rover classic models that have been out of production for at least a decade will be restored, recreated and serviced. There is a dedicated showroom area with displays of millions of luxury cars through the ages and 54 separate workshop bays for mechanics to restore and service more than 500 classic cars, including the Land Rover Series I, Range Rover Classic and Jaguar E-type Reborn and Jaguar XKSS models.

In addition, examples of the ‘Missing Six’ Lightweight E-type continuation models built in 2015 are also maintained there. Even, customers can directly purchase restored classic Jaguar and Land Rover models from the original manufacturer, and particularly, have their own vintage wheels restored by the experts on site.

To promote the growth of the classic business, JLR has invested heavily in traditional manufacturing skills, with more than 80 specialists with decades of experience working on classic Jaguars and Land Rovers. By the end of 2017, this number is expected to grow to more than 120 specialists.

Apart from the whole range of legendary vehicles on display, full restoration services, the recreation of ‘Continuation’ models and classic car sales, visitor can also have opportunity to drive them. The tour around the Classic Works will take approximately three hours and is priced at £49 (₱ 3,095) per person.
