Toyota lifts the wraps off the 2018 Fortuner in Thailand

To commence with, the most important change in this latest Toyota Fortuner is the introduction of a new variant dubbed 2.4V 4WD. With a price tag of 1,499,000 baht (P2.26 million), the 150 hp 2.4V 4WD now becomes the least pricey four-wheel drive Fortuner in Thai market.

Other exterior tweaks contains LED fog lamps, revised side steps, tail light lenses as well as refreshed side indicator. In the meantime, the cabin is more practical and comfortable with all-new eight-way power-adjustable passenger seats which currently come standard across the range. What’s more, rear disc brakes are also present on all trims, except for the entry-level 2.4G 2WD manual.

Three engines options include a 150 PS/400 Nm 2.4L and a 177 PS/450 Nm 2.8 L turbo diesel engines together with a 166 PS/245 Nm 2.7L naturally-aspirated Dual VVT-i petrol unit as before. All are still paired with 6-speed manual and automatic transmission.

Due to those updates, there was a modest increase in the price of the 2018 Toyota Fortuner, namely:

• The 2.4G 2WD manual variant: 1,239,000 baht (P1.87 million)
• The 2.4V 2WD auto variant: 1,419,000 baht (P2.14 million)
• The 2.7V 2WD auto variant: 1,569,000 baht (P2.37 million)
• The 2.8V 4WD auto variant: 1,579,000 baht (P2.38 million)
