Let’s take a look at what the 2022 Suzuki Ertiga can bring to car buyers, especially to the Indian market where the 7-seater family vehicle is an important model in the brand’s lineup.

Exterior

One can say that the 2022 Suzuki Ertiga is still a familiar sight. However, there are a few differences that separate the new model from the outgoing version. The refreshed Ertiga gets a redesigned grille named the Dynamic Chrome Winged Grille, new 15-inch alloy wheels, and a chrome strip on the tailgate.

Included in the color options are Prime Oxford Blue, Pearl Metallic Arctic White, Splendid Silver, Auburn Red, Magma Red, and Pearl Metallic Dignity Brown.

Interior

Moving to the cabin, the new Ertiga has dual-tone fabric seats with wooden trims on the door panels and dashboard. Both the second and third-row seats can be folded down to improve the cargo room, allowing more items to be hauled. This is an important feature for a vehicle like the Ertiga which maximizes space.

An air-cooled twin cup holder is fitted to keep beverages cold on the go, while second-row roof-mounted A/C vents are installed for the convenience of the rear passengers. Additionally, paddle shifters are now added for the new 6-speed automatic transmission which we’ll talk about more in a second.

Tech & Safety

The center console contains the new 7-inch SmartPlay Pro infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It sends audio to a 4-speaker system including two tweeters. Moreover, the system gets the ‘Suzuki Connect’, which offers various improved connectivity features such as Stolen Vehicle Notification, Valet Alert, and Vehicle Location Sharing.

Engine & Drivetrain

As our previous report states, the 2022 Suzuki Ertiga is powered by a new 1.5-liter K15C Smart Hybrid engine with 102 horsepower and 137 Nm of torque. It is connected to either a 6-speed automatic transmission that uses a traditional torque converter with paddle shifters or 5-speed manual transmission.
