The Intelligent Mobility safety and technology package is now ready for use in the new Navara.

So, let’s put your focus on the main highlight. Yes, new tech we’ve mentioned is the Intelligent Mobility safety and driver aid system. The system consists of 4 cameras (one on the front grille one in the tailgate and two for each side mirror) which will further support the wide range of sensors in the Nissan Navara. These 4 cameras will provide the driver a very commanding view of the road.

Additionally, a split-screen close ups of the side, front and rear views will come as an option. The Moving Object Detection and blind spot monitoring system are also available to warn you of approaching obstacles when on the move.

Concerning the powertrain, the existing 2.5L 4-cylinder DDTI turbo diesel engine runs the 2018 Navara. Particularly, there are two available power output options depending on specific variants: 163 PS/403 Nm and 190 PS/450 Nm. The power plant can come paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed automatic with manual mode. Standard drivetrain is a 2WD system while 4WD employs a shift-on-the-fly mechanism.

The 2018 Nissan Navara will be marginally more affordable

At this time, pricing for the Nissan Navara 2018 with extra techs has yet to be announced. With the new excise taxes favoring pickup trucks, it is speculated that the 2018 model year will be marginally more affordable than the outgoing model.
