Ford has recently released its all-new Ford MS-RT Transit Custom 2018 which is known as a rally-inspired panel van. The new van is built under the cooperation between World Rally Championship team of the Blue Oval and MS-RT (also called M-Sport). It is expected to bring great practicality with a superb performance like a rally vehicle.
According to Ford, the van comes with a fresh exterior, a quite sheer weight and adorned with smart features and bespoke interior decors.

For starters, compared to traditional Transit Customs, the new vehicle gets a tweaked front grille and bumper with a sportier and more aggressive look, completed by an integrated chin spoiler and fog lamps. Besides, significant changes also include the 18’’Anthracite O.Z, side skirts, flared wheel arches, new alloy wheels covered by Hankook Ventus S1 Evo tires and rear spoiler and diffuser.
Stepping inside, the Ford MS-RT Transit Custom 2018 comes equipped with suede and leather seats and flat-bottomed steering wheel with carbon fiber decor. Especially, the van gets MS-RT branded dashboard clocks and floor mats, earning the interior a neater and more beautiful look. The package also consists of clever features such as a standard SYNC 3 infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Depending on users’ needs, the Transit Custom can provide seating for 5 or 6 people. Additionally, the van can be available either in short or long wheelbase variants.
Under the hood, the Ford MS-RT Transit Custom 2018 is powered by a 2.0L EcoBlue turbo-diesel powertrain which is capable of doling out 168 hp, works in a conjunction with a 6-speed automatic or manual gearbox.
At present, the new Ford van is solely available for sale in the UK with a price tag of £32,995 (around P2.32 million).
