Most car brands have a specific time frame as to when will it released a facelift model of its cars. Usually, it happens three or four years later after the car’s initial launch. However, it seems that is not the case for Chery as the Tiggo 5x is getting another facelift for the 2021 model.
The changes are inspired by Chery’s new Sundial Galaxy design language also found in the Chery Tiggo 7.
The 2021 Chery Tiggo 5x facelift
The most profound change on the new Chery Tiggo 5x facelift is its new massive grille that hosts a hexagonal shape filled with small chrome dots. The bumper is also reshaped so it complements well with the lower air vents and comes with a gray finish.
The rear end of the Chery Tiggo 5x is not revamped except for the logo. The Chery oval logo is replaced with the letters that make up the Chinese brand name in chrome.
This is the best version of its interior so far
Inside, the instrument panel is now completely digital with a 7-inch screen. The infotainment screen is resized from 9 inches to 10.25 inches and is now separated from the panel.
It also comes with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and the upgraded Lion Smart Cloud interactive system. Lastly, the climate control sensor units are also redesigned to provide a more refined and subtle look.
The 2021 Chery Tiggo 5x comes with standard features like six airbags, an anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic stability program (ESP), keyless entry, 360-degree around-view monitor with bird’s eye view panoramic display, push-button, and a power sunroof.
