Volvo has shed a light on the show car it will bring to the Bejing Motor Show this year, the Volvo S90 Ambience concept.
Though based on the current 3-seater S90 Excellence sold in China, the S90 Ambience undergoes a significant change in the interior giving you a different experience. The interesting thing offered for this model is that with a smartphone app on, you can opt for 7 visual themes which offer different scent and audio.
The available themes consist of Rain, Archipelago, Swan Lake, Scandinavian Forest, Northern Lights, especially Freedom for fresher and more uplifting experience, and Noctural for resting.

With each theme option, the certain visual element is performed on the headliner of the car, and the Bowers & Wilkins sound system activates the audio accordingly. Also note that the sound system now has small tweeters fixed in the headrest.
In the Volvo S90 Ambience concept, the driver and occupants' experience is emphasized. That the scents by Byredo sourcing from a portal near the center console can attest to that statement. Volvo claimed with these three elements joining together, the occupants’ mood and wellness would be significantly improved.

Volvo Cars Head of Design Mr. Robin Page stressed that the Volvo S90 Ambience concept is the pioneer in bringing a new definition of “luxury” that should not be valued by material choices but sense connection with occupants. He disclosed that the car manufacturer would do its utmost to lead in safety technology and partly confine their focus on improving human care.
