Needless to say, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is the largest car company in the country for various reasons. One of the most significant factors is the reliability of its model lineup. This is why Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has chosen Toyota for its new fleet of Patient Transport Vehicles (PTVs).
Toyota Hiace Commuter Deluxe PTV
The government agency received the first batch of the Hiace Commuter Deluxe PTVs which consists of 50 units, with 250 more units expected to be turned over. A Deed of Donation (DOD) signing between PSCO and PTV beneficiaries was undertaken last February 4 at the Toyota Otis dealership.
Present in the turnover ceremony are representatives of the initial 50 municipalities and cities, accompanied by PCSO Vice Chairperson and General Manager Ms. Royina Marzan Garma, PCSO Charity Assistance Manager Atty. Marissa O. Medrano, PCSO Assistant General Manager Ms. Julieta F. Aseo, and PCSO Special Projects Division Chief Ms. Muriel G. Pajarillo.
A successful turnover ceremony
PCSO Vice Chair Garma expressed her appreciation to the country’s leading automaker, as the PTVs will be invaluable in helping address the medical transportation needs of LGUs nationwide, whose medical response capablities are expected to be enhanced by the donated vehicles. Toyota converted the units specifically to meet the requirements of PCSO’s Patient Transport Vehicle Distribution Program which aims to upgrade medical transport vehicles.
Powering the Toyota Hiace Commuter Deluxe is a 2.8-liter 1GD-FTV inline-4 turbodiesel engine that is capable of generating 174 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque. Power is channeled to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission.
The medical response capabilities of LGUs are expected to be strengthened
For TMP’s part, it assures all LGUs that aftersales and maintenance servicing for the donated units are accessible. They can either book their service appointments via the myTOYOTA APP for contactless transactions, or directly contact the company’s marketing professionals to get the best service experience.
