When the leaked images of the next-gen Toyota Land Cruiser surfaced online, many are eager to know more about the new updates. Of note, the following details are not confirmed by Toyota Motor Corporation just yet. As of this writing, the Japanese car brand hasn’t put out a word regarding the updates on its long-time running SUV. Right off the bat, you will notice that the front end gets a more updated look with the addition of a new and larger grille and sleeker headlamps. If we look at the leaked blueprint of the next-gen Land Cruiser, we can see that it does look similar to the leaked photos that were captured months ago.

Inside, the most remarkable update seen on the leaked blueprints is the push-start button which is embedded with a GR badge. This could signify that the upcoming model from Toyota will come with new performance upgrades as compared to the current version that will shape its place in the global market.
One of the most notable changes under the hood is the likely discontinuation of the model’s V8 engine. It will instead be replaced with a twin-turbocharged V6 engine that could make 250 hp and 626 Nm of torque. Again, the brand has yet to release an official statement about the next-gen Land Cruiser’s specs. As such, the reports and the leaked info about the vehicle are just rumors for now.

The official release date of the new Toyota Land Cruiser is still unknown. But considering that it is seen being shipped to different markets, one can expect that it will only be a matter of time before the new and improved model makes its debut.

Size-wise, the Philippine-spec Toyota Land Cruiser is 5,130mm long, 1980mm wide, and 1,945mm in height. Both also have a wheelbase length of 2,850mm, and a ground clearance of 225mm.
Competing against the Toyota Land Cruiser in the Philippine market is the Nissan Patrol, Chevrolet Suburban, Ford Expedition, BMW X3, and Land Rover Range Rover.
