The Toyota C-HR 2018 is soon going to premiere in Thailand after the late 2017 booking. The Toyota plant in Chachoengsao is where this model is produced and later it will be exported to more than one hundred countries, including our neigboring Malaysian market.

Two engine choices are available, and they are an automatically aspirated 1.8L and a hybrid 1.8L. The 1.8 VVT-I engine puts out 175 Nm of torque and 140 PS and is mated to a CVT automatic transmission with 7 virtual ratios. Similar to Thai-spec C-HR's, the motor offered for Malaysian-market version is compatible with E85.
The Toyota C-HR 2018 hybrid model features a 2ZR-FXE Atkinson 1.8L engine and an electric motor (producing 72hp and 163 Nm of torque) which is powered by a nickel-metal hydride unit. According to Toyota, the crossover only drinks 1 litre for every 24. 4 km and emits 95g of CO2 per 1 km. Although having its hybrid system well-proven, the Japanese carmaker still offers its customers with a 5-year and even 10-year warranty for the system and the hybrid battery, respectively.
The Hybrid has Mid and Hi variants, while the 1.8L engine option is equipped for the Mid and Entry trim levels. Speaking of the base 1.8L Entry (RM120, 954, equivalent to P1,617,000), it was equipped with LED tail lamps, auto projector headlamps, dark fabric seats, 43-cm alloys, 7 airbags and 7-inch touchscreen player with Bluetooth, AUX, and USB.
The top-of-the-line non-hybrid model - the 1.8L Mid (RM128,367, roughly P1,716,000) comes loaded with fog lamps, keyless entry start, and leather trim.

The Hybrid Mid (RM132,083, about P1,766,000) especially earns a priority with full-LED tail lamps, full LED headlamps, and T-connector. Meanwhile, the range-topping 1.8 Hybrid High (RM143, 203, around P1,914,000) owns all the features plus navigation and the Toyota Safety Sense package.
