Toyota C-HR 2018 released in Singapore

The Toyota C-HR 2018 will be available in two variants.

The much-awaited Toyota C-HR 2018 was finally released in Singapore and announced to come in with two variants, namely Active and Luxury. Both models were on display at this year’s Singapore Motor Show.

The C-HR 2018 will be offered with 2 variants in Singapore

The former is equipped with a variety of equipment, including:

  • Automatic halogen projector head lamps with Daytime running lights;
  • Front fog lights;
  • Black fabric seats;
  • Electrochromic rear view mirrors;
  • Toyota Telematics System;
  • Dual-zone climate control (supported with NanoE air purification system);
  • 4.2-inch color multi-info display.

Meanwhile, as its name suggests, the Luxury C-HR seems to come loaded with cooler items, for instance:

  • Auto-leveling LED units;
  • Sequential turn signals;
  • Smart entry system;
  • Leather seats;
  • Navigation function available for the infotainment system;
  • Smart start system;
  • Front lumbar support.

Under the hood of the C-HR is an 8NR-FTS 1.2L turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine

Apart from the above mentioned equipment, these two models are also offered with a number of similar features, including a set of 17-inch alloy wheels with 215/60 profile tires and a full set of safety features.

In detail, the Toyota C-HR 2018 can keep you protective while behind the wheel thanks to 7 airbags (also available for driver’s knee), brake assist, ABS, front and rear parking sensors, rear cross traffic alert, blind spot monitor, VSC and hill start assist. Not only that, the car is even equipped with a Toyota Safety Sense P package which consists of:

  • Adaptive High-beam System;
  • Dynamic Radar Cruise Control;
  • Lane Departure Alert;
  • Pre-collision System.

The figure for fuel consumption is claimed to be 15.6km/L (combined)

The Toyota C-HR 2018 is driven by an 8NR-FTS 1.2L turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine which is capable of pushing out 114 hp from 5,200 to 5,600 rpm and 185 Nm of torque between 1,500 and 4,000 rpm. The mill is connected to a CVT automatic transmission with 7 virtual speeds.

The car is also claimed to reach a top speed of 185km/h and deliver an average fuel consumption of 15.6km/L in mixed driving conditions, emitting 144 gr of CO2 every km.

There is a dual-tone paint scheme available for the Luxury model

The Toyota C-HR 2018 price is ranged from SG$119,988 to SG$129,988 for the Active and Luxury variant, respectively. These figures are equivalent to somewhere around P4,603,000 to P4,956,000 with the current exchange rate.

Besides, the Luxury model can also be had with a dual-tone paint scheme available for customers who prefer dual-tone look instead of the popular monotone option and this color option comes with an addition of SG$1,000.

As of writing this post, it remains unsure if this model will be added to the Toyota Philippines' new car lineup. Let's just wait and see.
