When it was first introduced in the 2016 North American International Auto Show, The Kia Telluride concept was considered to be a treasure in need of being discovered by car enthusiasts.
Over 2 years have passed and the longing for its production version has never diminished. That longing was even rekindled by spy shots of the Kia Telluride 2019 which are floating on the every auto forum. The camouflage-free photos were posted on Naver and The Korean Car Blog.
It is the overall size that is kept similar to the towering Telluride concept
It is easy to say the production version of the Kia Telluride isn’t veering too far from the concept regarding styling. However, this version has, for sure, gone through tremendous adjustments. To be more specific, it is the overall size that is kept similar to the towering concept while the front fascia dispels from the wide headlights to adopt slimmer ones.

Still, the tiger nose grille that makes its appearance at the front which relocates the intakes to be lower. With the arrival of more conventional cues, there are no longer the rear-hinged doors and front wheels’ vents aft. Like what’s seen on the concept, the minor kink on the doors remains.
The mystery needed to unravel now is the interior and we hope the production version of the Kia Telluride 2019 will take the concept’s plug-in hybrid engine which is a 3.5L GDI V6 unit capable of 270 HP working in conjunction with a 130 HP electric motor.

The Kia Telluride 2019 is expected to be set on par with the Honda, Pilot, Volkswagen Atlas, and Subaru Ascent, the vehicles of its type in the United States.
