Kia Niro EV 2019 good for 450 km per charge officially go on sale in Korea

The 100 kW fast charger of the Kia Niro EV 2019 allows the battery gets 80% full within only 54 minutes.

Since Kia opened their order booking in February in its home market, the Kia Niro EV 2019 has got more than 5,000 pre-orders and now it officially goes on sale in Korea.

According to the latest car news, figures recorded from 2016 shows that 200,000 Niro EVs have found new homes. In Europe alone, there are 65,000 models came in possession of customers. The Kia Niro EV will have the 2018 Paris Motor Show taking place in October to make its debut while not until towards the end of the year that it’ll be launched.

The Niro EV, also the second international electric model after the Kia Soul EV, gets power from a 204PS/395 Nm engine coming along with a 64 kWh Li-polymer battery pack. For a single charge, it can handle a driving range of 450 km while its impressive recharging ability features a 100 kW fast charger which allows the battery gets 80% full within only 54 minutes. There is another option which comes available later offering a softer price with a 39.2 kWh Li-polymer battery which secures an active range of 300 km.

With its low center of gravity as Kia promises, the Kia Niro Ev will definitely provide drivers with stable and pleasurable drives while it can accelerate from rest to 100 kph in 7.8s. The carmaker locates the battery pack down below the boot floor. The boot space can be responsible for 451 liters.

When it comes to safety features, all other Niro models’ are garnered to be brought into the Niro EV with back collision warning, driver attention warning, smart cruise control, lane keeping assist, and frontal collision avoidance assist.
