Commuters who are about to catch a ride on LRT 2 will surely happy as they can also see the real time train updates (to estimate time of arrival and departure or might-be problems that will arise) as well as determine information on train location, news, public service and emergency announcement, passengers traffic and entertainment.

The Passenger Assist-Rail Display System also made LRT 2 more secured with the addition of GPS and is updated in the cloud then translated into Audio-Video display. In detail, 40 train digital display monitors per trainset will be installed. Passengers get information with the help of downloading a mobile phone application which available for IOS and Android users.

Meanwhile, the developer has jumped in multi-year rehabilitation project aimed to enhance the efficiency of the system and offer a better travel experience to LRT-2 commuters.

“We will modernize the ACU to be more environment friendly, energy efficient and compliant with the Clean Air Act,” said Berroya.

However, the new system is complex and will require ample time as it goes through bidding, manufacturing delivery, installation and commission. The LRTA are trying their best to make PARDS available in the near future soon. So far, the news updates will be powered by Philkotse.com. Keep up to date with the latest news, guys.
