Size-wise the 2023 Nissan Kicks e-Power is smacked in between the likes of the Geely Coolray, Ford Territory, and the Toyota Corolla Cross. In terms of length, the Nissan Kicks is the shortest among the three crossovers with a measurement of 4,300mm. But, the Kicks is the widest compared to the bunch with a width of 1,960mm.

When it comes to height, it bows down to the Territory and the Corolla Cross as it only measures 1,615mm tall. But, it is relatively taller than the Coolray, which measures 1,609mm. The same story goes with the wheelbase, Ford’s and Toyota’s crossovers come with a longer measurement than the Kicks’ 2,620mm.

The numbers are fairly identical to each of the crossovers when you look at the ground clearance. The Kicks, Territory, and the Corolla Cross all come with 180mm. But, the Coolray has 196mm.

All three variants of the 2023 Nissan Kicks are equipped with the e-Power technology, a 100 percent electric motor-driven system. The Kicks e-Power still comes with a gasoline engine although it’s only there to charge the battery pack, which gives power to the electric motor. The Nissan Kicks can put out 134 hp and 280 Nm of torque.

Of note, the electric motor delivers power directly to the wheels. There is no mechanical link between the engine and the wheels. Think of it this way: the electric motor uses the stored energy from the battery pack, which makes the Kicks a 100 percent electric motor-driven vehicle. Then, the main task of the gasoline engine is to charge the battery pack when necessary.

All variants also come with Nissan’s e-Pedal step, a feature wherein the vehicle can accelerate and decelerate by applying and decompressing pressure on the gas pedal. The system does the braking for you whenever you lift your foot off the pedal. However, you still need to step on the brake pedal for a full stop.

When it comes to exterior styling, all 2023 Nissan Kicks variants look almost identical to each other. Standard across the range are the following: LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, V-motion grille, power-folding side mirrors, and roof rails.
