The hatchback looks ready for some track action.

Following the introduction of Ralliart versions of the Montero Sport and Strada last year, Mitsubishi Motors will be adding a new model with the Mirage for the ASEAN region.

The Mitsubishi Mirage Ralliart will be launched at the 43rd Bangkok International Motor Show 2022, which will be held from March 22 to April 3. It showcases a track-ready finish, reflecting the Japanese automaker’s approach in the world of motorsports.

Exterior-wise, the new hatchback comes with side decals similar to the ones in the two initial Ralliart comeback models. It is complemented by red and black finishes around the vehicle including the black roof, black alloy wheels, black side mirrors, black spoiler, black wheel fenders, and red mud flaps with the Ralliart logo.

The latest to receive the Ralliart treatment

Moving to the interior, the sporty-looking red-black color combination continues as the seats get a two-tone finish. Moreover, the cabin is added with exclusive floor mats with the Ralliart logo. With these features, passengers can feel the spirit of Ralliart on the go.

The story is still the same under the hood as Mitsubishi didn’t disclose performance upgrades. This should mean that the Thai-spec Mitsubishi Mirage Ralliart will still be powered by a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder MIVEC gasoline engine good for 77 horsepower and 100 Nm of torque. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) will likely be paired to the engine.

The Land of Smiles gets to see the new hatchback first

Mitsubishi Motors will offer the Mirage Ralliart in two paint options, namely in Whited Diamond and Red Metallic. The company will also introduce the Mitsubishi Xpander facelift and Triton, also known as Strada, Ralliart (double-cab) in the Thai market at the upcoming auto show.

As for the local market, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) is still offering the pre-facelift Mirage hatchback. This could mean that a Philippine debut of the Mirage Ralliart edition is a long shot unless both are launched simultaneously. In our previous report, the Mitsubishi Ralliart will be coming to the Philippines.
