The new facility will look distinctively Japanese.

Lexus is opening a big new showroom in the Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in the first half of 2024. Specifically, this new Lexus Manila showroom will be located at 8th Avenue, Grand Central Park, BGC Taguig.

The groundbreaking for the upcoming showroom was attended by (From Left to Right) Mr. Alvin Ty – Federal Land Vice President, Mr. Kazuhiro Nomura – Mitsui & Co. Philippines General Manager & Country Chairman, Mr. Atsuhiro Okamoto – Lexus Philippines President, Mr. Vince Socco – Lexus Manila Vice Chairman, Mr. Raymond Rodriguez – Lexus Manila President, Dr. David Go – Lexus Philippines Vice Chairman, Ms. Theresa Esquivel – President ASEC, Mr. Stephen Comia - Federal Land Senior Vice President

This new showroom will expand the brand’s capacity to serve its customers. But beyond that, it will also display the new “L-Finesse" design philosophy, which heavily draws from Japanese aesthetics, as well as “Omotenashi” which is a Japanese expression of hospitality.

So in a nutshell, this new upcoming Lexus facility will feature a minimalist design filled with horizontal and simple clean lines that are said to evoke beauty and simplicity. It will also be made to be very relaxing for its occupants. The latter is thanks to a ground floor area featuring full-height curtain wall glazing combined with a wood finish.

Note also that the L-Finesse design was applied to the Lexus Showroom at Mitsukoshi BGC which was opened last year. So all-in-all, the new Lexus facility that will open in the first half of 2024 will be distinctively Japanese inside and out.

Way ahead of the completion and opening of the new showroom in BGC, Lexus Philippines will also be launching the all-new RZ fully electric vehicle (EV) on May 2, 2023.

The Lexus RZ

For those curious, the upcoming Lexus RZ will use the same Toyota New Global Architecture (eTNGA) platform as the Toyota bZ4X and the Subaru Solterra.

No detailed specs were released for this upcoming Philippine-spec RZ  just yet, but if we referenced its platform siblings, then it might also come with a dual motor setup paired with a 71.4 kWh lithium-ion battery.

In other markets, the RZ can produce up to 208 horsepower and 435 Nm of torque. According to Lexus, it can likewise provide a range of 362 kilometers from a single charge.
