After two years, MMPC finally resumed the campaign.

After recently donating P1-million for Typhoon Odette-hit communities in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has tapped the premier humanitarian organization again to resume its annual Blood Donation Drive.

Held twice a year since 2016, the Blood Donation Drive is an integral part of the MMPC’s CSR (Corporation Social Responsibility). PRC awarded the car company for its continuous efforts to give back to the community in June 2019, and later was put on hold due to the pandemic. It officially resumed the campaign last February 15.

“Here at Mitsubishi Motors, we take pride in the engineering of our cars that have kept generations of owners and their families safe. We are equally passionate, whenever there is a chance for us to help save more lives outside the walls of automotive innovation,” said MMPC Corporate Division Executive Vice President Takeshi Usami.

The Blood Donation Drive took place at MMPC’s headquarters in Laguna. A total of around 40,500 ml of donated blood from 90 volunteering employees and personnel were collected, which can save about 270 lives. It is said to be a vital resource in the field of medicine especially now with the current COVID-19 situation.

As the only car manufacturer in the Philippines to receive DOLE’s Safety Seal, MMPC ensured that the Blood Donation Drive followed the minimum safety protocols. This campaign, along with more efforts to give back to the community in the future, is part of the Japanese marque’s commitment to enriching the lives of Filipinos through its new slogan “Life Made Better.”

MMPC continues to find ways to bring back to the community

“One blood donor can help save more than one Filipino, just imagine what we can achieve collectively. Our team members share this desire and want to inspire more to do the same, through their local hospitals or Philippine Red Cross centers,” Usami added.
