Now that the MG GT has officially been marked as the latest addition to the local lineup, MG Philippines is aiding interested buyers with the “Make Your Way With MG” promo.

Under the promo, the MG GT 1.5T Sport TST is offered with a cash discount of Php 75,000. This means that you bring home the sporty sedan for Php 1,118,888 from the Php 1,193,888 SRP (suggested retail price).

For the price, you get the flagship model that comes with intelligent full LED headlights, 3D LED race track tail lamps, a power sunroof, and sporty two-tone Tomahawk alloys. Inside, the vehicle has a 10-inch head unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 12.3-inch virtual instrument cluster, six speakers, and zero-gravity sports seats.

The sporty appearance is backed by a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 159 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. Further enhancing the performance is the use of a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, which allows smoother gear shifts. Moreover, you get to drive the MG GT with paddle shifters.

The latest addition to MG Philippines' lineup

Active Safety Driver Assist System features are also part of the equipment list. Among these are Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, and a 360-degree vehicle view camera.

The MG GT Sport is also available with a flexible payment scheme via a low down payment (DP) deal for Php 73,000. But if the entry-level MG GT Alpha is your cup of tea, this model is offered with a Php 57,000 cash discount and Php 68,000 low DP.

MG GT

The MG GT is a five-seater compact sedan. In the Philippine market, it has two variants. There’s the entry-level GT Alpha priced at Php 1,015,888, and the GT Sport which retails at Php 1,193,888. 

Size-wise, the MG GT is 4,675mm long, 1,842mm wide, and 1,480mm in height. It then has a wheelbase length of 2,680mm. 

Under the hood of the MG GT is a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that can produce up to 158 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to its front wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.  

Locally, the MG GT rivals the GAC Empow, the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla Altis, among others.

MG GT Launch

The MG GT was initially launched at the 2020 Beijing Auto Show. It was then introduced locally in February 2023. It has two variants available. The MG GT Alpha is priced at Php 1,015,888, and the MG GT Sport retails at Php 1,193,888. 

MG GT Exterior

The MG GT is a stylish sedan that has an aggressive front fascia, and a swept-back rear end. Present in this model are LED headlamps, LED daytime running lamps, and LED taillights.  

Also available are a pair of power-folding side mirrors, a boneless wiper, and an automatic on/off function for its headlamps.  

MG GT Interior

Up to five can fit inside the GT model. Keeping everyone comfortable inside the said sedan are leather seats and an automatic air-conditioning system. 

The driver likewise gets a push-to-start button, a power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support, as well as a seven-inch instrument cluster surrounded by a “Virtual Cluster.” 

The roof of the GT Sport also has an electronic sunroof.
