MG PH partners with Ateneo Blue Eagles collegiate volleyball teams

MG has been making its presence known as a brand that not only makes mass-market cars but also supports Filipino talents. The latest effort of the British-bred automaker is its brand partnership with the Ateneo De Manila Blue Eagle’s Men’s and Women’s collegiate volleyball teams.

MG Philippines is now an official partner of the Ateneo Blue Eagles

The partnership between MG Philippines and Ateneo marks the first automotive sponsor of the latter. It aims to spread their shared messages of “excellence and brilliance, while upholding the call to be a man for others.” Both move forward with the common goal of fostering and promoting Filipino sports.

Present in the brand partnership photo op was select players from the Blue Eagle’s Men’s and Women’s collegiate volleyball team, and MG Philippines President and CEO Atty. Alberto B. Arcilla. It was also graced by the MG ZS-T in St. Moriz Blue and the MG HS in Extreme Speed Red.

The partnership aims to support young Filipino athletes

The MG ZS-T is the top-of-the-line model of the subcompact crossover. What set this model apart from the rest is its use of a 1.3-liter turbocharged engine with 161 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the MG HS is the company’s flagship model, offering a turbo engine, a 5-seater seating, and a tech-packed interior, among others.

We have continuously offered our vehicle to be part of the everyday commute and the overall well-being of our clients,” said Atty. Arcilla.

The Ateneo community comes together to cheer for our volleyball teams because of the electrifying atmosphere at the games venues and the delight of seeing our teams play as one,” said Ateneo De Manila University Director for University Athletics Emmanuel Fernandez.

MG has been supporting Filipino excellence

As mentioned earlier, MG Philippines is one of those that continue to champion Filipino talents. The company is a partner of the Miss Universe Philippines beauty pageant for three years now. It also held a Christmas concert last year in support of Original Pilipino Music (OPM).
