Despite being a relatively newcomer in the local market, MG Philippines has already been active in using its platform to promote Original Pilipino Music (OPM). One of its recent collaborations is with folk-pop OPM group Ben&Ben where they went on a road trip with the MG ZS and RX5.
CLR with MG ZS
Now, the British-bred automaker is looking to bring OPM to Filipinos’ homes this Christmas. On December 10 and 11, 2021, the MG Live! Salubong will be broadcasted online, featuring top local musical acts including urban/hip-hop star CLR, rock quartet Sponge Cola, and the legendary Aegis band. To note, the live stream event will be running from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. as per ktx.ph.
“MG continues to bring extraordinary musical experiences to all Filipinos and we are proud to present MG Live! Salubong: The Christmas concert, in celebration of the holiday season. We hope to bring cheer and warmth into every home through this online concert event, which we dedicate to Filipino families here and abroad,” said MG Philippines President and CEO Atty. Alberto B. Arcilla.

To make the Salubong online concert more fun and interactive, MG Philippines is allowing viewers to make exchanges with musical artists and join a sing-along complete with lyrics onscreen. Additionally, viewers can send shoutouts to anyone in the world to make them feel closer to their loved ones this holiday season.
The online concert is made possible through the car brand’s partnership with Praxis and The Filipino Channel (TFC). It will be staged with technical production experts at ABS-CBN’s ASAP Studio 10, as well as conceptualized by the best Filipino musical production minds under director Paul Alexei Basinillo.

The MG ZS 2023 is a 5-seater subcompact crossover that is available in the Philippines in four variants. MG ZS 2023 Philippines price is from Php 848,888 to Php 1,198,888. Under the hood is a 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated inline-4 gasoline engine capable of making 112 horsepower and 150 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the flagship ZS-T gets a 1.3-liter inline-3 turbocharged gasoline engine good for 109 horsepower and 160 Nm of torque.
